State-run MMTC surged 21.56% to Rs 1839.35. The stock topped the gainers in BSE's 'A' group. The scrip today turned ex-bonus (1:1) and ex-split (10-for-1). The stock rose on high volume of 5.34 lakh shares on BSE. MMTC's net profit rose 33.83% to Rs 55.23 crore on 60.56% rise in net sales to Rs 12045.53 crore in Q1 June 2010 over Q1 June 2009.
